This international journal recognizes the interdisciplinary nature of materials research. Papers cover the modelling of materials, their synthesis and structural characterisation, physicochemical aspects of their fabrication, properties and applications. Journal of Materials Chemistry contains original research papers (both full-length papers and short Communications), occasional review articles, details of forthcoming conferences and a cumulative author index, together with colour photographs and diagrams where appropriate.
